Légendes du drum and bass venues d'Australie

Pendulum is a band that became world-famous thanks to its musical experiments. Their sound is not limited to a single genre: Pendulum created a signature blend of rock and electronic music that brought them international popularity.

The band consists of 5 members:

  • Rob Swire - founder - vocals, synthesizer, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, DJ
  • Gareth McGrillen - founder - bass guitar, backing vocals, DJ
  • Paul "El Hornet" Harding - founder - DJ
  • Peredur ap Gwynedd - guitar
  • KJ Sawka - drums, percussion

De l'underground à la scène mondiale

Pendulum was originally formed as a trio of DJs, with Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen, and Paul "El Hornet" Harding creating tracks and performing as a DJ project. Later, after their first successful releases, the debut album “Hold Your Colour” (2005) and especially the track “Vault”, Pendulum began to expand and eventually became a sextet. It was this album that took Pendulum to the next level: it entered the charts in the UK and Australia and received critical acclaim.

The next breakthrough came with their second album, “In Silico” (2008), where the band changed their sound by adding more rock elements. The experiment proved successful and won over an international audience. In the following years, Pendulum solidified their place on the global stage: the band not only embarked on international tours, but also headlined major music festivals.

Pourquoi Pendulum s'est séparé et comment le groupe est revenu

In 2012, Pendulum announced a hiatus. About three years later, they reunited and in 2018 released the remix album “The Reworks.” Later, Pendulum delighted fans with two EPs, “Elemental” (2021) and “Anima” (2023). In 2024, the band returned to touring, and the following year released its fourth studio album, “Inertia.”

Titres cultes

Pendulum are the creators of many iconic tracks in electronic music. Among Pendulum’s defining compositions, which became widely popular and topped the charts, especially in the UK, are “Watercolour,” “Propane Nightmares,” “Witchcraft,” and “The Island.”

Les performances live de Pendulum : énergie et intensité

Pendulum’s live performances are a unique experience in live electronic music. Their shows are energetic and explosive, with the musicians taking almost no breaks and turning concerts into a continuous flow of wild energy. That is why their live sets always draw massive crowds. In 2025, Pendulum held a huge concert at Milton Keynes National Bowl in the UK, attended by over 60,000 people, and also toured Europe with the Inertia tour in support of their new album. In the summer of 2026, Pendulum will join The Prodigy for a concert in Riga.
