Dakh Daughters is a unique musical and theatrical project that combines poetry, music, and theater. The group often uses texts by famous poets in its songs, including Ukrainian authors such as Taras Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka, Mykhailo Semenko, Yurii Andrukhovych, and others. Dakh Daughters' music is also notably diverse: the artists use many instruments, including double bass, cello, piano, guitar, maracas, drums, and others.

From the Kyiv theater to the world stage

Dakh Daughters began their creative journey within the walls of the independent DAKH Theater in Kyiv. The band's first major concert took place at the Kyiv Small Opera House in the spring of 2013, and their debut studio album was released in 2016. Since then, Dakh Daughters has conquered many stages around the world. In addition to Ukraine, the group has performed in France, Poland, and many other countries.

Dakh Daughters' first major breakthrough came in 2013, when the song "Rozy / Donbass" gained many views on YouTube. The next important step toward recognition was the full-length album "IF", which featured songs such as "Liudyna", "Papirosy", "Kuba", and others. In 2021, Dakh Daughters presented their second album, "Make Up", which included the song "Rozy". In 2025, the band released "Pandora's Box" with the songs "Lupaite siu skalu", "Zamalo liubovi", "Pandora's Box", and "Apokalipsys".

Dakh Daughters concerts take the form of theatrical musical performances. The artists appear in their signature makeup and costumes: stage makeup reminiscent of mime artists and distinctive outfits that combine elements of theater, cabaret, and avant-garde fashion.
