History of Lady Gaga's musical career

American singer and pop music icon, Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was born in New York. As a teenager, Stefani performed in school plays and open mic nights. During the same period, Gaga began performing with musical groups. Stefani gained her first professional skills at the Joint Art Project 21 theater at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, but did not complete her studies.

Lady Gaga's big music career began in 2005, when she recorded two songs with Grandmaster Melle Mel and founded the band SGBand with her friends, with whom she performed throughout New York State. In 2006, Lady Gaga began working with a producer. Together with Rob Fusari, the singer created songs such as "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich," "Dirty Ice Cream," and "Disco Heaven." That same year, Lady Gaga signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings, but it lasted only three months. After that, the singer began performing in burlesque shows, and her final stage image took shape.

That same year, the artist presented the album The Fame Monster, for which she received numerous awards, including a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, as well as Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Short Form Music Video for the song Bad Romance. After that, Lady Gaga embarked on her second world tour, The Monster Ball Tour.

Her next album, Born This Way, was released in 2011 and was no less successful than her previous albums. The album Artpop, released in 2013, was not received as unanimously by the public, but still sold 2.5 million copies. The following year, Lady Gaga released a joint jazz-style album with Tony Bennett, Cheek to Cheek.

In 2016, the singer presented the album Joanne, dedicated to her aunt, went on a three-day tour, and in 2017 began the Joanne World Tour. Four years later, Lady Gaga released her sixth solo album, Chromatica, which gained widespread popularity, with songs reaching the top of the US charts. In 2021, Lady Gaga released her second collaborative album with Tony Bennett, Love for Sale.
