Limp Bizkit biography
Music band
Genre: nu metal, rap metal
Country: America
History of Limp Bizkit:
One of the most famous nu metal bands in the world, Limp Bizkit was founded in 1994 by Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sammy Rivers, and John Otto, with DJ Lethal joining them in 1996. The musicians released their debut album, “Three Dollar Bill, Yall$”, in 1997, followed by “Significant Other” in 1999. Limp Bizkit's third album, “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water”, was a real breakthrough for the band. The presentation took place in 2000 and brought Limp Bizkit worldwide fame.
The release of the fourth album, “Results May Vary”, was preceded by the search for a new guitarist, as Wes Borland began a solo project. In 2003, Mike Smith joined the band, and together with the new guitarist, the musicians released an album. Wes' absence was not long, as he returned to Limp Bizkit in 2004, and in 2005 they released the mini-album “The Unquestionable Truth Pt.1”, followed by the compilation “Greatest Hitz”.
In 2009, after a two-year hiatus, Limp Bizkit returned with the big Unicorns N' Rainbows Tour, the first concert of which took place in Latvia. Two years later, the band presented their fifth full-length album, “Gold Cobra”, another very successful work by Limp Bizkit. In 2012, the band began collaborating with The Cash Money Records label.
Fans had to wait quite a long time for Limp Bizkit's next album, “Still Sucks”, which was released in October 2021, but despite this hiatus, the musicians remained true to their style — concerted nu metal, a combination of rock and rap, and DJ sketches, everything that made Limp Bizkit popular.
Despite repeated changes in the lineup and internal conflicts among the band members, which brought Limp Bizkit to the brink of collapse several times, fortunately for fans, the band continues to create music and give concerts in its classic lineup, with exception of bass guitarist Sam Rivers, who died in October, 2025.
