Richard Melville Hall, an American artist better known by his stage name Moby. The artist is considered one of the key figures in electronic music of the 90s, who remains popular to this day. Moby's work combines many musical styles, from electronic and techno to rock and punk. In addition to creating his own music, Moby collaborates with other artists, including Britney Spears, A$AP Rocky and Gwen Stefani. Artist performed on one stage with David Bowie, Nelly Furtado, Slash, Bono and others. Moby is also a producer and has his own label, Always Centered at Night.
Beginnings and international success
Moby began his creative career in the punk rock and underground scene. As a teenager, he played in punk bands and later changed direction and began to engage in electronic music. Before achieving widespread popularity in the 90s, Moby worked as a DJ and producer. Moby's first major breakthrough came in 1991, when he released the single Go, which also became popular in Europe.
Moby first gained recognition from music critics with his album Everything Is Wrong, and achieved global success with his album Play, which became the best-selling record of his career and earned him an IFPI Platinum Europe Award and a Grammy nomination.
