The musical history of Three Days Grace:
The world-famous rock band, Three Days Grace, originally had a different name, namely Groundswell. Formed in 1992 in Canada, the band existed under this name until 1997, when Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson and Brad Walst changed it to the current one.
The active development of the band's career and the first big success dates back to 2003, when, after a contract with Jive Records, they released their debut album "Three Days Grace", and 3 years later "One-X". Both records received platinum status, and in 2007, the band was recognized by Billboard magazine as the best rock band.
Three Days Grace's third album "Life Starts Now" was released in September 2009. Work on the album lasted for almost a year, and its feature was a new sound, styles and images, the musicians moved away from their previous post-grunge, and the songs have more lyricism.
In 2012, the band released their fourth album "Transit of Venus", and in less than six months it became known that the band's lead vocalist Adam Gontier left the band. Two years later, the band officially introduced a new vocalist - Matt Walst. In 2015, Three Days Grace recorded three albums in the updated lineup - "Human" (2015), "Outsider" (2018) and "EXPLOSIONS" (2022).
Striking changes in the band's lineup took place again in 2024, when it was announced that former vocalist Adam Gontier was returning to the band, but Matt Walst remained in the band. With the "new-old" lineup, Three Days Grace went on a major tour, visiting cities in Europe and the UK.
Three Days Grace has been generously endowed with music awards and has been nominated for numerous awards for their work. Their debut single was nominated in two categories by MuchMusic. They have been also nominated for a Juno Award several times and won the Casby Awards in the Best Album category for their album “Life Starts Now”.
Three Days Grace continues to be active in music, organizing tours and giving live concerts in Europe, America, the UK and other parts of the world.
