Domiy's music career

Maria Dovhanyuk, who became known under the pseudonym Domiy, comes from a village in the Rivne region of Ukraine. Domiy has been singing since childhood, so her choice of higher education institution was obvious. The singer graduated with honors from the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts and studied at the Kyiv Institute of Music named after R.M. Glier. Domiy's first steps toward great popularity were covers of famous Ukrainian songs.

In 2020, the singer posted a cover of the Okean Elzy song "Обійми" on her TikTok profile and received her first enthusiastic reviews from listeners. However, several more years passed before Domiy began releasing solo songs.

The first singles - and with them real popularity - appeared in 2023, when Domiy released the tracks "Море без води", "Маки співають", "Відпускаю і йду", "Най", "Ми зламаємось", "Завтра знов буде" and the hit "Потече", which made her famous throughout the country and garnered over 90 million plays.

In 2024, in addition to her own songs, including "Не твоя", "Не боляче", "Мій дім", "Так як ти" and others, Domiy presented a joint track with the artist SHUMEI. The song "Не боляче" immediately became a hit, the video gained millions of views, and the creative collaboration between the artists was recognized with a music award.

The year 2025 was marked by a collaboration with the band Boombox, with whom Domiy released a re-recording of the song "Обійми". That same year, the singer presented her listeners with the songs "Сіль", "Не відпускай", "Ще не до кінця", "Димарі", "Як не моя" and "Сумує ще ніч". In the autumn, the singer went on a big concert tour called "Море без води", during which she performed in Uzhhorod, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Lutsk, Odesa, Dnipro, Chernihiv and other cities.

The depth, sincerity and tenderness of her songs, along with the incredible timbre of her voice, have made Domiy a real discovery for contemporary Ukrainian music.
