Hans Zimmer, world-renowned composer, Oscar winner, who has his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and recipient of several Golden Globes and Grammys, was born and raised in Germany. He began his career in music in 1977 as a keyboardist for the band The Buggle, but began his composing career a few years later. In 1980, as a co-producer, Hans Zimmer released a single by the band The Damned. From then on, he began to pursue a career that would later make him one of the most prominent composers of our time.
It was in the 1980s that Zimmer started to create compositions in his signature style, combining orchestral music with electronic music. During that period, the composer worked on music for films such as Moonlight and The Last Emperor, and later for Rain Man, for which he was nominated for an Oscar. However, Hans Zimmer received his first statuette for the music for the animated film The Lion King, which earned him not only an Oscar, but also a Golden Globe and two Grammy Awards.
In 1989, Hans Zimmer and Jay Rifkin founded Remote Control Productions, which has been creating music for films for over 35 years.

In addition to music and soundtracks for films, Hans Zimmer also writes music for video games, television, and short films. He has collaborated with other composers on compositions for The Simpsons Game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Arena of Valor, FIFA 19, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and others games.
