KALUSH and Kalush Orchestra: Style, Hits, and Concerts

KALUSH is a Ukrainian hip-hop group led by Oleh Psiuk, also known as Psiuchyi Syn. The group is recognized for rapid-fire rap, memorable beats, and songs about life, friendship, love, and nostalgia. Oleh also leads Kalush Orchestra, a parallel project that combines rap and hip-hop with folk singing and traditional instruments.

The Formation of KALUSH and Kalush Orchestra

KALUSH entered the Ukrainian music scene in 2019. The project was founded by rapper Oleh Psiuk and music producer Ivan Klymenko. The lineup later expanded to include multi-instrumentalist Ihor Didenchuk and MC Kylymen. A series of early releases and collaborations quickly introduced the group to a broad audience.

A major breakthrough came in 2021 through KALUSH's collaborations with Skofka. The artists released several joint tracks that reached the charts, while KALUSH also presented its debut album "HOTIN".

Kalush Orchestra emerged as a parallel project, adding ethnic motifs, folk vocals, and traditional instruments to KALUSH's hip-hop foundation. The group won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with "Stefania". KALUSH and Kalush Orchestra continue to develop as connected projects and often appear together in concert programs and tours.

KALUSH Songs and Collaborations

KALUSH gained attention with the early singles "Не маринуй" and "Ти гониш". Its catalogue later expanded through collaborations including "Гори" with Alyona Alyona, "Стіни" with Jerry Heil, and the tracks "Давай начистоту" and "Додому" with Skofka. KALUSH and Skofka also released the joint album "ЙО-ЙО".

Alongside the Eurovision-winning "Stefania", Kalush Orchestra has released popular songs including "Це любов", "Коли", and "Янголом". Together, the two projects move freely between direct hip-hop energy and the sound of contemporary Ukrainian folk.
