History of the Lords of the Sound Orchestra

Lords of the Sound, an orchestra known not only in Ukraine but throughout Europe, was founded in 2014. In its work, the musical ensemble combines the sound of classical instruments, choral singing, and solo parts with contemporary cult compositions from films, TV series, video games, and other art genres.

The mission of this orchestra is to show that symphonic music is not limited to classical works but can keep up with the times, be trendy, be accessible, and at the same time be impressive. In their performances, Lords of the Sound use not only musical instruments and voices — their concerts are also complemented by special effects, lighting, and visuals.

In more than ten years, Lords of the Sound has become one of the leading contemporary orchestras, giving more than fifty concerts every year and presenting concert programs that impress with their versatility and attention to detail, with hundreds of musical works in the repertoire.

• Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings concert program, as the name suggests, is filled with music from the film series of three epic fantasy adventure movies based on J. R. R. Tolkien's novel. This concert gives the audience the opportunity to visit the incredible world of Middle-earth and relive their favorite moments from the films and Howard Shore's music. Professional performance, artistry, and beautiful stage design help you not only hear but also feel the uniqueness of the compositions that accompany The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

• The Music of Hans Zimmer

A separate gem in the work of Lords of the Sound is a program dedicated to the music of the brilliant contemporary composer Hans Zimmer. At The Music of Hans Zimmer concerts, the symphony orchestra performs the composer's most notable works, including music from Pearl Harbor, The Lone Ranger, Sherlock Holmes, Interstellar, Gladiator, The Lion King, and others. Lords of the Sound's performance only emphasizes the uniqueness and grandeur of Hans Zimmer's music.

• Hogwarts Magic Symphony

For lovers of magic and the fairy-tale world of Harry Potter, Lords of the Sound created Hogwarts Magic Symphony — an unforgettable journey to Hogwarts that offers incredible emotions. The melodies of John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper, and Alexandre Desplat are revealed even more beautifully in the Lords of the Sound show. The Hogwarts Magic Symphony program is for those who want to experience real magic outside the walls of Hogwarts.

And for fans of epic compositions, Lords of the Sound's repertoire includes the Music is Coming concert. The program features music from famous films, TV series, and video games. The concert track list includes music from The Witcher, Game of Thrones, Dune, The Matrix, Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, Star Wars, and other world-famous productions. This concert, like other Lords of the Sound shows, masterfully immerses the audience in the atmosphere of each individual story, giving them not just music but complete emotions.
